RIP John McCarthy. Was a strange old day at work today when i heard the news, just didn't seem real that a present AFL player had passed away.
Thoughts go out to the McCarthy family and friends, and hope the AFL pay there respects during both the finals this weekend.

Was such a weird feeling when I heard the news today.

it was a very sad day for football. Just to think that a mate from my work was going to be joining that party as he is good friends with one of the players but he couldn't get the time off work. I would think that our shop would have closed down as we wouldn't have been able to work.
You just hate to hear this news of any football player no matter if he is from your club that you support or you dislike. McCarthy was finally having a break out year with his new club and would have taken another step next year.
