Wouldn't pay any attention to how the teams are named, those days are long gone

This afternoon is going to be longer than the Bulldogs' premiership drought. How am I supposed to GAF about anything when the mighty Catters will be aiming at their third premiership in five years. And talk about a monster obstacle...Collingwood 'doing for Mick' will prove to be perhaps our toughest Grand Final challenge since the first one I saw way back in 1989.

GO CATS :ympray:

As much as i dislike collingwood, you really do have to admire the culture of the footy club and the character of the players to always put the team before the individual.

Dayne Beams withdrawing from the side following in the footsteps of Presti from last year shows tremendous guts and definately is something that i couldnt imagine me doing.

Hats off to you Dayne, and what must alex fasolo be feeling right now!!!

Absolute spin. Beams was running like a greyhound at training! It's to deflect attention away from how proppy Ried and Jolly are.

Not sure about that REB. Surely a player wouldn't withdraw from a grand final just to deflect the attention from a few teammates who are struggling.

Beams has made the right call for his side if he isnt 100%, however will be interesting to see whether collingwoods decision of bringing in fasolo in for beams ahead of goldsack will bite them if reid goes down early.

I reckon it's great to see Fasolo in the side. Stoked for the lad.
Could be an x-factor, the one that Stevie J would provide for the Cats if he was on two legs, instead of one.

Still, Cats to win for mine. Sadly.

Did Beams 'withdraw for the better of the team' or did Mick give him the news he'd be dropped on form, and gave him the chance to make it appear it was on his terms?? I'm thinking tomorrow will be frantic come 1 hour before the game, a few late changes is my tip.

He's in the best 21. No doubt about it, he did a Presti.

I will be prepared to bet that if Collingwood win, within a few days, Eddie McGuire will come out and make a comment that players in the Dayne Beames position should get a premiership medal.

Important information for all Collingwood Supporters going to the game today; Dole payments will be made available as cash advances outside gates 4,7 and 8. A temporary parole office will be set up near gate 3. An amnesty will be available for stolen vehicles that can be left in the car park after the game. A fight will be made available outside the Royal at 7pm. Free trains will be available from Jolimont station, assuming you won't have paid for a ticket anyway...And they're also handing out free condoms for the Collingwood supporter Family Reunions.

Not sure what type of entrance he was planning on making, but the pre-show news is that with the crappy weather, there is doubt over whether or not Meatlof will be performing at all!
