Yep. Loosely, their game plan works on handballing until they can get an effective kick, but were under so much frontal pressure that they couldn't find a teammate who wasn't under pressure. The result was overuse of the handball and inneffective long kicks.

Watchin him in the rooms after the game, looked like he had to support himself on the wall to sit down, with a straight leg. Fair cramp

I reckon the score tomorrow will be 0.73 to 0.75, both teams will just kick points for the other side and nooone will want to face Collingwood, they were phenomenal.
Thumbs up to the Melbourne transport system, stayed to the end and still got back to our rooms within 30 mins. :D
Ablett was phenomenal, we're going to miss him. :(

Geelongs' ratio is the smallest in the league while Collingwood is the 3rd highest.
W.Coast 1.30
Hawthorn 1.30
Collingwood 1.29
P.Adelaide 1.28
Brisbane 1.23
Carlton 1.22
Sydney 1.22
W.Bulldogs 1.20
Richmond 1.19
St.Kilda 1.17
Fremantle 1.16
Melbourne 1.15
Adelaide 1.12
N.Melbourne 1.12
Essendon 1.09
Geelong 1.04

And, in 2009, Geelong and Adelaide both had more handballs than kicks (Adelaide #1, Geelong #2). Collingwood was at the other end of the table again.
Collingwood and Geelong in 2008 were once again #1 and #16 for lowest kick to handball ratio; and for that matter 2007.

interesting that there were 2 inter-change infringements.
Neither side can complain about the frees being paid- how hard is it to run onto the ground between 2 lines about 10m apart?

Interesting to see Bomber Thompson is thinking it's time to change the game plan and "kick more" ..

Crap rule teams shouldn't be penalised with goals against them for the sake of a foot outside a line, which has no bearing on the game whatsoever. Fine the club or something, FFS in the heat of the battle a club may lose a game or final over this pedantic rule. One which no doubt was thought up by the Grandaddy of squibs, Adrian Anderson.

Yep, and I'd like to know how it's possible for an AFL player to cramp so early in a game considering their physical conditioning, as well as the continual rotations and massaging they receive on the boundary line during a game. And if it WAS cramp, why did it keep him off the ground for the rest of the match?

I don't blame Mickey Malthouse for saying it was cramp (I laughed when Mick said he had 4 players with cramp), but if you honestly believe that, I've got real estate I'd like to show you :)

not agreeing with the rule, or it's penalty, but how hard is it to enter the field between 2 lines?
Players know they are about to go on, so they should be aware of how to enter the field correctly- they get paid good money to know this.
Also, Geelong never got a goal as a result, but Collingwood did.
