1) The crows have been made $1.73 favs with the bookies which firmly places the weight of expectation firmly on Adelaide. Their finals record when favourite has been ordinary under Neil Craig.
2) Malthouse's ability to get C'wood up for games where everyone has backed against them.
Of course nothing would be better then to get the finals monkey off the back by beating C'wood in Melbourne. But despite the shorter break I am going to tip C'wood by less then a goal.

Sorry, someone had to win.
One of the veteran trio has to go after tonight....the Crows can't afford for all three to go at the end of next year, too big a hole.
Now....after all of the great contests between these two sides in the past decade or so (in particular) will any Crows supporters actually give us some respect?
Any crows supporter would be mad not to acknowledge that Collingwood are our bogey team.
Here's my gripes for the night:
1) We over possessed the handball again, leading to our final disposal into the forward 50 to be under pressure and we F***** it up.
2) Senior players failed with disposal at critical times, mind you, so did Collingwood.
3) How many times did the ball bounce right for Collingwood tonight? Every contest, the ball would take a deflection straight to a Collingwood player. Cast your mind back to first minute, ball bounces on the GOAL LINE backwards. We couldn't take a trick.
4) Harry O'Brien has a different set of rules to defend by. All night, he holds chops arms and when the time comes for the ump to dish out an evener, he pulls a free out for JOHN ANTHONY??!!! FFS!!!! It couldn't get any worse.
5) Please Geelong, smash the crap out of these hacks. If a forward line with Leigh Brown and John Anthony make a grand final it will be a disgrace.
Yes, BTW, I'm f****** peaking.

As a totally neutral he was definitely the best 4 quarter contributor for Adelaide.
Crows blew it in the second quarter- to let the pies somehow win that quarter despite absolutely dominating all but the last couple of minutes was criminal.
And the problem wasnt the free kick, it was allowing Maxwell to get that kick forward through the congestion that was crucial. (Maxwell btw played a superb captains game I thought).
SS as for the ball bouncing the right way for the pies- it was about time the ball didnt bounce for Hentschel- since his comeback (dont get me wrong I am rapt for the bloke to even make it back) things have fallen in his lap more than for anyone else I reckon.
Anyways, great game- kept me on the edge all night.

I think he's done enough to see how he comes up next year - if he's just lucky the Crows can use that...NO-MERCY wrote:... I've thought exactly the same way, i'd be very surprised if Hentschel is kept on the list next year.

I think the Crows played reactive footy in this period, the problem was pretty simple, they just stopped getting to the footy first as they had been earlier, and started chasing guernseys in a disorganised manner.
