2 very good games on the trot. Finding the footy and getting in the right position. Disposal is still hit and miss. He attack on the footy is awesome.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Putting him in the midfield isolates that strength well IMO.

He doesn't just fall on it either like some midfielders.

Of course because the media is in the main made up of old footy heads in commentary roles who have been pining for him to fail.

I disagree with these comments. I'm not sure about your local media over there but on Fox Footy the feedback on K Hunt has been mostly supportive. Recently his decision to resign was commented on as 'a more significant signing than his initial signing' and generally on TV the Fox Footy team have backed Hunt. I believe the majority of old school blokes want him to succeed because of the pressure it puts on the NRL in terms of winning people over to the greatest game of all.

Suss the article on my original bump.

And REB is right - this is a dagger into NRL.

Fair enough REB, I don't have Foxtel anymore so can't comment on what they're like now but certainly during games (I watched nearly every GC game last season) on Fox or FTA last year numerous commentators were sticking the boot in to him only getting x possessions the week before or whatever. Brian Taylor used to get stuck into him a fair bit, I remember Tony Shaw making jokes at his expense and one or two other dinosaurs too (Robert Walls springs to mind).

The younger guys were more balanced and probably understood the enormity of the task ahead of him and his genuine desire to become not just an AFL player but a good one. Given that and how hard he attacks the footy/man I dare say most AFL players respect him too and have the decency to put themselves in his shoes (them trying to cut it in the NRL) unlike a few of the older dropkicks.

Brian Taylor and Luke Darcy talked up his game v Essendon 2 weeks ago. Both agreed it would give him confidence and he backed it up again the next week.

Yeah I know and thought how silly BT must've been feeling at the time.
