You nearly got me last week mate! Congrats on breaking your duck. You can avoid the drop now with a couple of more. Our half of the draw was the tougher one so a few more could be on the way.

ROUND NINE FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. The Wog
Parko vs. Carlos
Woggy vs. SBJAC
Cub vs. Trunky
Gingernuts vs. Pup
Hammo vs. Mighty Eags
Reignman vs. Bleu Boy
Booney vs. The Real Number 3

The Yawnman himself Reignman served notice that he is back in town when he racked up an impressive 2309 points to defeat an unlucky The Real Number 3 who got 2087 points and got flogged (perhaps he can drown his sorrows with Sargent Parko). The Reigning premier Poo Army knocked the Pup off his perch but Mr Football still leads the comp with a 7-1 and will be better prepared for his next clash with Hammo as Murphy and Burton were out suspended. In other news sly dog Gingernuts snuck into the top eight for the first time but faces a mighty task to stay there as they face up to Mr Football in this week's match of the round. A special mention to Booney's Was it the Chad who finally shook off that donut that has been sitting in the win column for the whole season. Well done. The Hogg went down from 3681 last week to 4174 so the people in the relegation zone are on shaky ground. Remember boys the bottom two are GAWNSKI in 2009. A leading candidate for this dubious honour is Mighty Eags whose Mighty Crows somehow managed to scrape together 886 points. Come on Jamie..you can do worse than that. Make sure you do it when you play me ha ha.

Round 8 High Score: 2309 (Reignman).
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 8 Low Score: 886 (Mighty Eags)
Season Low Score: 886 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Carey
Cub II vs. REB II
Nathan vs. Punk Rooster
finn vs. Hearts on Fire
Luke vs. Reignman II
Shan vs. Jared
blood5 vs. Tom Hafey
Carlos II vs. Benny Boy

High scoring has been in vogue in The Magoos in recent weeks and in Round 8 no less than seven teams passed the 2000 mark. Once again Nathan's Bird of Prey lead the way racking up an impressive 2311 but perhaps the performance of the week was finn and his Chardonnays knocking off the previously unbeaten ladder leader who proved to be a Punk Rooster one day, a feather duster the next. Bird of Prey took the opportunity to soar to the top of the rankings and this week it is a genuine block buster as 1st plays 2nd in a battle of the birds. The Magoos ranking has risen yet again - this time to 5560. The Second Division might even outscore the Hogg Shield by the end of the year at this rate.

Round 8 High Score: 2311 (Nathan)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 8 Low Score: 1407 (Shan)
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)

ROUND TEN FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Trunky
Parko vs. SBJAC
Woggy vs. Carlos
Cub vs. The Wog
Gingernuts vs. The Real Number 3
Hammo vs. Bleu Boy
Reignman vs. Mighty Eags
Booney vs. Pup

Not too many funky results last week in the Hogg with scores a little down on the week before. Several sides appear to have their places booked in the top eight but it appears that one or two spots might be up for grabs. Cub and The Real Number 3 are looking over their shoulders and Woggy Hawkeye can’t seem to get a look in for a top eight spot. Hammo scored the highest score in the Hogg for the third time in the last four weeks with his score of 2184 and appears to disprove the premiership hangover theory. Darios ‘The Wog’ Testaccio was this week’s lowest ranking team with 1035 points. Darios what were you thinking ha ha. This week my own REBCats take a break from being a flat track bully to take on The Wonder Elephants who had previously assumed the role and is fresh off a good victory against the Cub. Gingernuts also has his Ninjas locked in a battle with The Real Number 3 in a match that could also determine which of these two sides make the eight. The Hogg went down again from 4174 to 4396. Hmm, maybe our league will do better next year with the two best sides from the Magoos coming up.

Round 9 High Score: 2184 (Hammo).
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 9 Low Score: 1035 (Darios)
Season Low Score: 886 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Hearts on Fire
Cub II vs. Punk Rooster
Nathan vs. REB II
finn vs. Carey
Luke vs. Benny Boy
Shan vs. Tom Hafey
blood5 vs. Jared
Carlos II vs. Reignman II

The Magoos are still on the march with some fine performances by the leading teams. Bird of Prey lead the way yet again with 2273 points to defeat Punk Rooster last week. This week he plays against the mighty Strutties who also scored over 2200 last week in the match of the round. Another important match is between Punk Rooster and the Cub as Punky has now dropped two matches in a row and is starting to slip down the ladder. The bunny of the round and not for the first time was Carlos who managed an impressive NOT 1346. Carlos, you DUD! The Magoos ranking has risen to 5501 – an improvement of 59 spots on the week before.

Round 9 High Score: 2273 (Nathan – 2nd week in a row)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 9 Low Score: 1346 (Carlos)
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)

ROUND 11 FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. SBJAC
Parko vs. Trunky
Woggy vs. The Wog
Cub vs. Carlos
Gingernuts vs. Bleu Boy
Hammo vs. The Real Number 3
Reignman vs. Pup
Booney vs. Mighty Eags

Team Bring it and the Poo Army led the way last week racking up massive scores of 2431 and 2376 and anyone who had Joel Bowden was laughing as The Wog found out when he tipped Cub out of the eight in a Bowden inspired 29 point victory. Big news this week for Hogg Shielders is that Adam Goodes has finally been suspended and Andrew McLeod will miss four or five matches as he goes under the knife for his usual mid season clean out. This week one of the matches of the season pits ladder leader Mr Football up against Team Bring it in a match that Reignman probably has to win if he is to make the top four this season. The battle for the top eight has tightened considerably in the last few rounds with Testaccio and even Duddy and the Yobs making a late claim. The Hogg got back in form when it went back up to 4112 up from 4396. At the blunt end of the ladder the bottom two sides Was it the Chad and 'Mighty' Crows face off in the battle to decide the wooden spoon. May the least hopeless man win!

Round 10 High Score: 2431 (Reignman)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 10 Low Score: 1351 (Carlos)
Season Low Score: 886 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Punk Rooster
Cub II vs. Hearts on Fire
Nathan vs. Carey
finn vs. REB II
Luke vs. Tom Hafey
Shan vs. Benny Boy
blood5 vs. Reignman II
Carlos II vs. Jared

Reignman's red hot form has continued in the Magoos as he topped both leagues last round. In the Second divvy Black Magic clocked up an impressive 2331 to defeat the hapless Carlos by 1000 points which is fairly handy for the percentage. Bird of Prey strengthened its hold on the league when it went home and kicked the Straycat by a mere six points DOH!! The match of the round this week is the AFLO derby between The Fenders and Black Magic but it is Bloodstainedangel5 and Nathan (whoever he is) who look to have the inside running on promotion to the Hogg next season with Punky slipping down the ratings. The Magoos ranking last week slipped slighty to 5532 down from 5501 – it must be Punky's fault LOL.

Round 10 High Score: 2331 (Reignman - top in both leagues first time since Cub in round 2)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 10 Low Score: 1341 (Shan)
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)

The Punk Roosters have some unpublicised internal issues, with a lot of blame being prostrated at the feet of the coach... who said art doesn't imitate life?

ROUND 12 FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Mighty Eags
Parko vs. Pup
Woggy vs. The Real Number 3
Cub vs. Bleu Boy
Gingernuts vs. Carlos
Hammo vs. The Wog
Reignman vs. Trunky
Booney vs. SBJAC

The top half of the ladder tightened up considerably with Reignman cleaning up Mr Football in a close match and myself suffering an upset defeat at the hands of SBJAC. The Wog's Tesstacio combination went one step closer to qualifying for the finals by cleaning up in the Italian derby and this week he faces the inform Poo Army who has risen to third on the ladder as the result of my snafu last week. Booney surprised himself by winning the battle of the cellar dwellers last week and the spoon looks to be in Mighty Eags' keeping for 2008. Carlos the Dud completed Cub's recent run of bad form with captain Swan leading the way to a big win. Reignman's Bring It faces off against Trunkys wonder elephants in a match that may decide which side makes the top four. Another big match is when Woggy takes on The Real Number 3. Both sides are 6-5 and a loss here will be crucial with Testaccio circling. This week the Hogg stayed pretty stable in the rankings 4116, down from 4112. Clearly, our league needs work.

Round 11 High Score: 2181 (Hammo)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 10 Low Score: 1018 (Mighty Eags)
Season Low Score: 886 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Jared
Cub II vs. Reignman II
Nathan vs. Benny Boy
finn vs. Tommy Hafey
Luke vs. REB II
Shan vs. Carey
blood5 vs. Hearts on Fire
Carlos II vs. Punk Rooster

Reignman and Nathan continued their domination of the second division by once again racking up big scores and look well placed to secure the top two spots on the table by the year's end. The Cub held on for a tight win with a shit score and Punk Rooster continued to slide down the ladder (Punk Crows more like it ha ha). This week's big match is Cub who is third and Reignman who is second but the Cub would need to score just a few more points than he did last week to knock off the rampaging black magic. There are still plenty of spots up for grabs in the Hogg next year though because a lot of the top sides are currently ineligible for promotion. It would help though, if I knew who Nathan was LOL. The Magoos dropped again this week to 5613 down from 5532

Round 11 High Score: 2217 (Reignman second week in a row)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 11 Low Score: 1205 (Shan)
Season Low Score: 1082 (Shan)

ROUND 13 FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. Pup
Parko vs. Mighty Eags
Woggy vs. Bleu Boy
Cub vs. The Real Number 3
Gingernuts vs. The Wog
Hammo vs. Carlos
Reignman vs. SBJAC
Booney vs. Trunky

Sargent Parko managed to pull off the upset of the season when the lowly Duddy and the Yobs cleaned up Mrs Football to knock the Pup off his perch. The door is now open for an unlikely finals appearance from the Sarge who has been a bit unlucky so far this season. This week he plays bottom ranked Mighty Eags and the Duddys should push their claims for the top eight. This week has a host of key matches including Mrs Football vs. the REBCats fighting it out for second spot while just outside the eight Boxhead faces off against the Cub who ended his recent losing streak. Essbayatch climbed into the eight with another impressive win but faces his toughest test as We r fargked face off against Team Bring it who are still somehow locked out of the top four despite going on a long winning streak. This week our league went up a few spots from 4116 to 4052. With three weeks to go there are still 12 teams still in the race for the flag with the bottom four to be playing relegation finals in four weeks time.

Round 12 High Score: 2152 (SBJAC)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 12 Low Score: 1073 (Mighty Eags)
Season Low Score: 886 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Reignman II
Cub II vs. Jared
Nathan vs. Tommy Hafey
finn vs. Benny Boy
Luke vs. Carey
Shan vs. REB II
blood5 vs. Punk Rooster
Carlos II vs. Hearts on Fire

Upsets were in vogue in the Second division as well during Round 12 with Benny's Gorillas making a monkey out of another top ranked opponent when the Birds of Prey were squashed by the league's giant killer combination. HOF also did some fender bending and blood5 were spilt in the league's other upset. The Fenders are in 8th spot with seven wins so the reserves comp is a little more lopsided than the first division and 12th ranked Jared is probably out of business with that poor percentage. This week sees a huge clash between 2nd ranked Reignman and 3rd ranked Habib in a crucial match for Habib's promotion hopes. In another match with promotion implications, bloodstainedangel5 takes on Punk Rooster who regained some form last week. In round 12 the league went up from 5613 to 5590.

Round 12 High Score: 2131 (Reignman 3rd week in a row)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 12 Low Score: 1217 (Shan 2nd week in a row)
Season Low Score: 1085 (Shan)

I am a mastermind coach out of luck .

My medical team need a kick in the ass , cant get a full squad on the paddock at any one time .

If only i could move Bartlett into the forward pocket , Bourke to CHF and Rioli ( maurice ) into the guts like back in the 80's all my prayers would be answered .
What i dont know about football isnt worth knowing .

ROUND 14 FIXTURES

Top eight teams in bold.

Hogg Shield

REB vs. The Real Number 3
Parko vs. Bleu Boy
Woggy vs. Mighty Eags
Cub vs. Pup
Gingernuts vs. Trunky
Hammo vs. SBJAC
Reignman vs. Carlos
Booney vs. The Wog

The battle for top four and top eight spots went up a notch last week with Pup deservedly wrapping up a top four spot as Mr Football flogged the flagging REBCats who slipped out of the top four. Reignman's Team Bring It has moved ominously into the top four and Hammo's Poon Army has some tough opposition this year if he is to go back to back and defend last year's title. In the bottom half of the eight Gingernuts and Woggy look like they have qualified which leaves Parko, SBJAC, Boxhead, and Darios all eying off eighth spot which is currently held by the Cub. Cubby plays Mr Football this week so the teams 9-12 aren't out of the race just yet. This week's match of the round is between Trunky's wonder elephants and Gingernuts' Ginger Ninjas. Ben F has made a late grab for the top four and Trunky looks to be the most vulnerable team in the top four now with two tough matches (He plays Poon next week) to complete the minor round. The Hogg went inside the top 4000 to be ranked 3955 so our league has been steadily improving in recent weeks. Two rounds to go boys and just between you and me I'm not that happy with Joel MacDonald right now!

Round 13 High Score: 2308 (Pup - bastard!)
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 13 Low Score: 1079 (Mighty Eags yet again)
Season Low Score: 886 (Mighty Eags)

Div II

Habib vs. Benny Boy
Cub II vs. Tom Hafey
Nathan vs. Jared
finn vs. Reignman II
Luke vs. Hearts on Fire
Shan vs. Punk Rooster
blood5 vs. REB II
Carlos II vs. Carey

The magoos comp is down to ten with Benny Boys' Gorillas dropping out of the race after losing to finn's chardonays who have consolidated their place in the eight. Tommy Hafey is an outside chance only as well but not all is lost for Carey's hollands hereos team. This week finn plays against the mighty Black Magic who has been head and shoulders above the others in recent weeks with Nathan's Bird of Prey hitting a slight form slump. Can finny put an end to Black Magic or will Reuben reign on?? This week blood5' fenders take on Straycat Strut to sew up a top eight spot. Punk Rooster and Habib have easier matches and should qualify this week. Carey is playing Carlos the Dud so he'll be knocking on the door for another week but Tommy Hafey will have his work cut out defeating 4th ranked FOOTY LEDGENS. In round 13 the league went to 5555....hmm, sounds like one of those yank phone numbers!

Round 13 High Score: 2283 (Reignman 4th week in a row) CAN THIS MAN BE STOPPED. GO FINN!!
Season High Score: 2462 (Cub)

Round 13 Low Score: 1026 (Luke)
Season Low Score: 1026 (Luke)
