Another example of a great player being an ordinary coach?
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

The responses Paul Roos has been giving make sense now.
Think he might all of a sudden have a burning desire to coach ;)

Paul Roos 1st in line you'd think to replace him.
Might be enough for J.Brown to retire also?

Wont be coach of us.
Hird will get maybe a 12 month ban at worst, if he receives any penalty
We will put an interim coach in and then Hird will come back in when his ban expires

Whilst Brisbane seem to be more competitive this year,Brisbane have given Voss a fair go,always go back to the fact that getting Fevola to the club was down to Voss and really unsettled the club big time by paying him way too much and having to let players go for salary cap issues.

Could have imagined this at other points in his tenure but not right now.
Any chance Harvey already given the job from 2014?

Personally, doesn't feel like he's going to Fitzroy, to me it will always be 95% Bears, 5% Fitzroy.

It does feel like that but there is plenty of ex Roy boys who have embraced the Brisbane venture.

Voss took a huge gamble at the end of 09 going for too many recycled players, must have thought he wasn't that far away in reality they weren't. I thought he'd done enough to get another contract, Roos must have the job for this to happen.

Brisbane has made the right decision here.

Voss just hasn't been able to get the team playing consistently well and 5 years is plenty of time to do that.

People may point to those dramatic come-from-behind wins against Geelong and North Melbourne as evidence of turning the corner but you have to ask why we were falling behind so far in the first place.

Hopefully we don't go for another 'favourite son' like Lappin or Leppitsch. It rarely works.

Just to be pedantic, wasn't Voss advised that his contract which ends this year won't be renewed?

Presumably he didn't want to coach the last 3 matches. so technically he wasn't sacked.

Anyway, as you were ...
