Collingwood and Essendon have to prepare to play each other in four days and I have already heard the first whinge from the media. Before you say they are all different games yes they are. But with Ice hockey it is just as psychical as Australian Rules with the hits so I dunno why the teams are complaining.

Are you really that thick? I'm sure all the padding, line changes and shorter game time helps those figure skaters recover. Baseball requires less exertion than cricket ffs. Basketball ppffft. 45 mins of standing around during a non contact sport. Yeah. All good comparisons to footy. You obviously never played the game.
It's not the teams complaining. It's the media commentators making a big deal about it.

I played Aussie rules And I have backed up in younger days for two games in a day/week. Yes hockey players wear pads and there is a good reason for why they wear it. Hockey is 60 minutes all up of three 20 minute periods. You figure it out they are skating as fast as an Aussie Rules player runs and they are hammering each other for a puck. The ice has no give hence the wearing of some of the padding also that puck hitting your body at up to 100MPH wouldn't tickle. Honestly TSG have you fronted up and played Ice Hockey?
