Drum beaten by injury

Postby Rik E Boy » Thu Jul 21, 2011 12:41 pm

Ex Freo Docker and periennially injured Cat defender Marcus Drum has announced his retirement after his one millionth injury set back this week. Since joining the Cats a couple of years ago Drum has only played four games in the magoos with another two games this year. In both of those games Drum came off injured.

Drum injured a hamstring at training this week and quite understandbly pulled the pin. We never got to see the best of Drum who has had a shocking run with injuries. Sometimes it just isn't meant to be.

Team mates at Freo alienated him for his outlandish dress sense.

That was the way Drum rolled.

The fact that he never played alongside Bass is a Cymbal that perhaps the AFL has no sense of humour.

22 matches - true champion of the game - looking forward to seeing him in the motorcade on GF day... well worth an entire thread dedicated to his career - you could almost start a thread for each of his games!

Its a bit Hypocritical REB to complain when someone says "who" about Marcus Drum when you said the same thing about Scott Stevens. Marcus Drum 22 games, Scott Stevens 144 games
July 11th 2012....

Not wanting to do this all the time, but....

"In REB's defence," I had actually no idea that Drum was still playing, let alone on the list of my team.

I thought he had faded into obscurity like so many at Freo before him...
