Forget the rest of the season, lets do GF Preview Now!

Postby Mr66 » Sat Aug 14, 2010 10:23 pm

It'll be Geelong v Collingwood without any doubt.
Let's get the discussion going.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Thats it, dont put a line through St Kilda or the bullies just yet. The bullies have been severly hurt by this illness that has gone through the entire staff and players there. THis game means next to nothing IMO to the Bullies.

Dunno about that. Yeah, the flu stuffed up the Bullies but these blokes are 2-10 against St Kilda, Geelong and Collingwood over the last two years. They needed a scalp badly.

And then you could look at Geelongs record against the top 6 this year? not so good really! So rule them out?

St Kilda to turn the tables on Geelong.

The Pies goal kicking yips to return when it matters most, and the Dogs to lose another heart breaking Prelim.

I can only hope.

I think Collingwood may do it this year, on form in the latter part of the season.

Agreed, easily the more impressive of the 3 teams that have a chance.

Collingwood
Geelong
St Kilda
Bulldogs

Regardless of the virus that went through the Dog kennel and other circumstances, that game will worry them. Collingwood really do look very impressive against most levels of opposition.

Collingwood
Geelong / St. Kilda too tought to split at the moment for mine.

Bulldogs look fragile and for mine I think if Sydney get a home final in week one then get the Bulldogs at the Dome in week two they could surprise with a Prelim Final showing.

Freo, Carlton and whoever finishes 8th just ripe for the picking.

Footy fans must be hoping for a Collingwood V Geelong GF to end the year.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Not too sure how you can write St Kilda off as a premiership threat. They look like they might just be timing their run perfectly.

I think it will be another Prelim loss for the dogs. They dont actually appear to have improved from last season. The likes of Higgins, Griffen, Minson, Williams probably havent taken that next step like the dogs had hoped they would. Coupled with the fact Johnson, Eagleton dont seem to have the same impact as prev seasons and of course the loss of Aker. I also cant see Barry Hall being much of a factor in September. He looks good when the doggies midfield are on top but i havent seen him win many 1 on 1's this year against quality fullbacks (Scarlett, Presti etc) which are the ones he will be facing in September.

I hope it's a Geelong v Collingwood GF. Just for the fact that we would have the opportunity to destroy so many people's lives if we did happen to get up. :D
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

You're missing the point. People on forums have crystal balls and can see into the future. If they say St.Kilda can't make it, they can't make it :)

This is how it stands at the end of round 20. Next week if either Geelong or Collingwood lose, suddenly they won't have a chance of making the GF according to the "experts". The media is just as bad. One week St.Kilda are premiership certs, they lose one game and the next week apparently they can't make the GF. I'd rather wait for the finals when the true form is exposed before making predictions about Grand finals.
