Burton -> Walker in the wings
Shirley or Doughty. Shirley maybe 1-2 years left and Doughty 30 plus must be under pressure soon. -> Rory and cooke in the wings.
Gill -> Has not played and always injured.
Kite -> Struggled to get a League game at Norwood maybe on the trade table to go back Melbourne.

4 players need to go as 3 changes as normal and martin who is on the list next year.

Doughty are you serious!

That will do it this year, if you need another then probably Burton.

i'd expect
gill
gallman
shirley to be delisted

griffin to be traded
i'm expecting douglas to be offered up as well.

with one of burton, edwards or macleod to be given the nudge. i'd nudge edwards and macleod personally but must be balanced with the notion of being a good club as well.

i'd keep martin on rookie list - no real point in upgrading him due to his acl and i don't think any club will draft him so he can be offered the third year.

I would remove the cancerous effect of the 2 senior guys who hate each others guts in an attempt to increase team unity and belief when really desperately needed in the heat of a final when this are turning against you.

Well he apparently re-signed a couple of weeks ago, so I doubt he will go.

I'd rather get rid of Mcleod or Edwards than Kite or Gallman.

Stumps wrote:Keep all except burton as long as they are committed- Edwards and goodwin, are decent chances of winning the B&F. the overreaction of some i presume supporters is baffling. When a game is down to one kick or less, to read too much into things is useless. Burton for walker next year and make hentschel play some decent SANFL for a bit, mix a bit more new blood through the midfield (potentially someone explosive like petrenko) with edwards spending a bit more time at half forward i drove to the game, and drove straight back home, and thought they were fantastic... proud as punch.
Valid points Stumps. Edwards was shown up for his lost pace last weekend but may still be useful in another role.

In all honesty I don't see the improvement, I can see the younger guys improving, and the middle of the road types maintaining their form, but I don't see where or how Goodwin, Edwards, Mcleod, Shirley and Burton are going to improve on Saturday night, or on their 2009, I honestly don't see how they will maintain their 2009 form either, which at times for all of them was below standards. 2-3 have to go.

And that is the point, Saturday night showed that the side needs to improve considerably, one area is foot pace, unfortunately at times this year when we have got pace in the side the play has injured themselves, we cannot afford to have all 5 of these old slow players in the side. Some Adelaide Supporters are living in a dream world where Goodwin, Edwards and Mcleod are still superstars who can do no wrong, fact is all three were shown up on Saturday night by Otten, Mackay and Vince.
