I didn't see it the same way. I thought he looked OK but not 'completely comfortable'. I guess tho you picked it .... we need more than someone who is just "solid".

You have to happy they kept Campbell?

Agree that keeping Doughty doesn't seem to be moving the list forward.

Can only call it as I see it me ol sparring partner. I think just looking at those names in isolation they have done well.Symes trumps them all and especially when throwing in the dreaded potential word as well.

Campbell is a tough, dedicated midfielder who will make it IMO.

Fair enough regarding Hinge, but I thought he didn't put a foot wrong and in his 3 quarters of football he looked at home. That one injury ruined his career.

Doing some research I noticed Brad Moran and Kurt Tippett are both from Southport, QLD. Moran is 21, Tippett 20.

I wonder if there's a link there that helped get Moran over the line?

Accepting mediocrity. Doughty is soooo average and Jericho has no heart.[/quote]

More likely didn't want to pay out their contract by delisting them given they are still contracted.

I know Doughty is, but surely not Jericho? They wouldn't have offered him a 2 year deal at the end of a seaoson he failed to play a game, surely?

You could be right, i'm not certain about Jericho. But it would certainly be the reasaon why Doughty survives for another year.

Correct. But they paid out Obst last year (which in hindsight was a mistake IMO), so they aren't afraid to do it. The time was right to dump Doughty.

A while on i no NFC but how is your call on Doughty looking now? He had a career best year last year, is now in our leadership group and playing good football again this year. I think Doughty is one of our most important players and before last year, was always the one that was put under the microscope for any loss and was unfairly criticised many times.

Mick's been a bit up and down in 2009 but he's a very, very solid and dependable player.
