Talk on the national game

Premiership Contenders and Wooden Spooners 2009

Postby nuggety goodness » Tue Apr 14, 2009 5:37 pm

I know it's early and many things can change in our beloved game of Football but at this point my thoughts are as follows;
1. Geelong have started slowly (again) but still have 3 and zip. and always look like they could bust a game open. their second quarter against Collingwood shows what they can do.
2. my team, the Dogs are also lookin very good. Although beating Richmond and Freo is no hard task at the moment, the pace and movement they have is very exciting.
3. The Hawks finished North off fairly well and pushed Geelong. They still look alright apart from the slip against Sydney.
4. The Saints are finally showing what they have been capable of for the last few years and i think they will be in the mix come September.

13. West Coast although they can't beat Fremantle they'll upset a few sides during the year (like Port... haha)
14. Fremantle will only beat the next two on percentage as they usually lose a couple by within 2 kicks
15. Melbourne are hopeless
16. Richmond just don't look like winning, bottom for mine with 2-20 record
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Freo or Melbourne last for mine and for the same reason, not enough experience. Richmond will win by plenty this weekend and string a few together.

collingwood and port?!? i'm biased but the dogs are better than both...

last place will be a tight one.

R10 Freo v Richmond @ subi, Freo to win
R18 Melbourne v Richmond @ MCG, Rich to win
R20 Melbourne v Freo @ MCG, Melb to win

and Freo will beat West Coast twice (they always do) therefore Richmond bottom 1-21 Melbourne 15th 2-20, Freo 14th 3-19...
