Brad Ebert is probably going to play alot of AFL and yes he is an SA boy. If he wasnt from SA the crows still wouldn't have looked at him and the comparison between the 2 players would not exist. Ebert is exactly the same as our current young midfielders eg, vince, van berlo etc he is a workman nothing fancy gets the job done. The thing the crows need is pace and that X factor which Dangerfield has. Great selection in my mind.

Craig and the staff couldn't convince him to complete his education in SA and i dont think they will be able to convince him to complete his footy career here either. But thats just my opinion. I think its awesome that the crows have started playing the younger squad which shows that they have finally realised that they are not likely of winning a premiership in the near future. Next draft will determine if the crows are dedicated to rebuilding the squad (which needs to be done). But at the moment looking very positive. I think people should settle down on Walker abit also. Hes 18 and Craig is doing the right thing by playing him. Just not good for his confidence considering he has the potential to be the best foward the crows have ever had.

dangerfield has already said he wants to stay and play in adelaide for as long as he can. and here is hoping he does stay here for at least 200+ games, and hopefully he takes over from the previous number 32 as most games played for the crows.

wasn't aware of that. Im just a supporter of local talent but Dangerfield does look promising.

You could also look at that the other way - he was part way through his study in Vic so was committed to staying there to complete it. Which hopefully means, given that he will be part way through his career in Adelaide, that he will be committed to staying here to finish it!
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

Big test this weekend for all the younguns.

How do you think the likes of Walker, Dangerfield and Petrenko will cope against the Cats?

I would think the Cats would put up more of a fight than a wooden doll REB, surely... ;)

Considering your brilliant recent record against us, I think that's a fair chance. 8)

Fair enough. Shame its not a Semi-final this week - our record in them against you is 100%!!! *clutches at straws*

Seriously, i am really looking forward to Saturday night's game. I fully expect our young blokes to get a lesson, but can't wait to see how they will go against genuine hard, pressure footy.

I think it will come down to forward line pressure. Geelong's run from the backline is the key here, the Adelaide forward ie Walker, Douglas etc have to battle hard

The thing with Geelong is you can be with them for 3 qtrs and then they end up winning by 6-10 goals very easily... they just slip into gear and the quality shines through. If we are around the mark after 3 qtrs we need to ensure it stays resonable and it will give the youngsters great belief for the rest of the year.

What do you expect him to say? "I am here cos I have to be and cant wait to get home"would have been great for his career ;) The footy media is a false world ,just look at the garbage Triggy had to dish out this week

Must admit, it doesn't surprise me to see how well Petrenko, Dangerfield and Walker are moving, but I hadn't expected young Otten do so well ... He's getting better every week, keeps his nerve under pressure and takes opposition forwards on - Ultra impressive imho.

Little Jazza Jacky is looking stronger, fitter and more confident this year. He is just about ready for a string of AFL games imo and I hope the selection panel can sneak him in before the mid-season break, maybe even for the Dees game. We still lack that quick lurking small for resets inside 50.
