Nothing wrong with that. Nobody wants to hear abusing or threatening language, especially with kids around.
I think that story relates directly to official cheer squad members though. From what I saw at the Crows (only Crows) final last year against Collingwood, the Pies cheer squad were ridiculous. Joffa himself was giving the crowd the bird and telling them to "**** Off". I'm sure Club's want to distance themselves from that kind of behaviour.
