I personally don't have a problem with a female commentator. But I'd also say that commentating is one thing, being able to hold up a decent conversation which gives insight into the game being played, tactics being used, how players would be feeling or should react, is something completely different.
This is the one area where I feel female commentators and others who have not played the game, are let down somewhat. Experience does count and while its not everything, remember a famous quote from David Hookes ("you don't have to kill someone to write a murder story"), it is something.
I hope Kelli does well and I hope she impresses me as much as Debbie Spillane did with her knowledge with rugby league.
