Swans in trouble?

Talk on the national game

Is it even in the rules to overturn the result of a game when a count is not called? (Serious question - Tas has a rule book?)

I read an article this morning where Brayshaw states they had the best interests of the game in mind by not calling a count, yet he is prepared to publicly spray the AFL? Just be honest and say you are trying everything to get the points, don't sugar coat it.

In the box North knew Sydney had an extra man and DIDN'T call for a count - which was totally within their right. They would have had Sydney's score scrubbed and won. - They didn't.
Brayshaw should move on and have a big cup of STFU.

Exactly what i said in an earlier post. Brayshaw claims that it would have been a massive embarrasment to the AFL and tarnish the image of the comp had they called for a count. Rubbish. It would have been a massive embarrassment to the Sydney Football Club but not the comp. North Melbourne need to get over it as it was their right within the rules of the game to call for a count but they didn't for whatever reason.

My rudimentary understanding (off the top of my head) is no, that is why they have the count in place. Once the goal umpires have checked the scores after the All clear, I think that is it - unless it involves a Siren at Aurora Stadium.....

That is how the laws of teh game read but all controlling bodies have their own by-laws so it could be possible somewhere.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

The weakness of the AFL will cost the Kangas a home final today if St Kilda win...

was it still the right decision to split the points??

I say a BIG NO
Port Power has 16 years history at Football Park...

The Port Magpies have 40 years history and the two shall never be confused or combined

The weakness of the Kangaroos in yesterdays performance cost them a home game...

They have nobody to blame but themselves for getting belted in Melbourne by the Power.

agree they were disappointing yesterday, but they are missing out on a home final because of the AFL not having the courage to change the result and give the Kangas what they deserve over 22 rounds (not just on one bad performance)

It would have been 2 points on a technicality because the Swans' mistake had no bearing on the outcome of that game whatsoever

You know what did have a bearing on the result? The Kangas themselves .... one of a number of poor games at the start of the season.

They have no-one to blame but themselves if they have to travel to Sydney next week

Anyway, they are still in the 8 and alive to redeem themselves
In between signatures .....
