Biglands Retired, Age 31, 120 odd games.

Massive Unit, struck down with knee injuries. Always thought he could have been a good forward, when he wasn't in the ruck. Unfortunate but looks like the kid ruckmen are ok.

Yeah a big loss but Griffen and Maric are doing ok.

Good luck to Rhett in the future, if its playing with woodville or what - Good luck.

Roo went 1 year to long, if Bungee went another year, he would also be one year to long. Like Roo he will become injured and wont be able to recover.

Once Edwards and Mcleod are gone, that frees up alot of $$$ to lure some big names

If anything Bungee is injury free *touch wood* atm and there is not reason for him toretire this year. Roo had a year that ended in injury after a niggle from laft way through and it never recovered. Mcleod is doing his bit and under estimate his impact on a game at your own demise...

Butters, you are wrong. Macca and edwards will easily go next year, both in great form. what are you basing your comments on. Roo didnt go too long, he retired at the right time before he went on too long. Both of these players more than contribute each week and have got plenty of footy left in them. macca is moving as good as he ever has, he definitely is not slowing down yet.....

I'm kinda with Butters, I reckon Mac's knee(s?) is shot and if I were Adelaide I'd be genuinely worried about how much you could expect from him next year ... Hope Im miles off and he has a ripper, but I can't see it happening.

I believe that Roo played less that half a season in 2007, 9 games (i think). Hardly think that it was a success!!

I never suggested Edwards should retire, this guys seems to get better with age. I merely suggested once he does retire this free up quite abit of $$$ to lure a key forward which the Crows have been in desperate need for, for quite some time.

AS for McLeod, i do not doubt his ability. I mean a McLeod 1/2 as good as he WAS, is still a handy AFL player. As 32yr old, turning 33 next year i see the same problem occurring as Roo.

Roo was great but he did play a season too long, as did Ben Hart.
The Crows are sensible offering older players year by year contracts.
I think Edwards and McLeod are good for another season, depending on what is happening with McLeod's knee.
Bassett looked gone earlier in the year, but is doing reasonably now, so that depends on whether he had a acute injury or has something that will recurr, which I guess the club doctor will know.
EPIGENETICS - Lamarck was right!
