I just can't get into the draft today. A very sad day for australian sport lovers.
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Im stoked at that, plenty of talk your mob was going to take him at pick 5.
Think his injury at the end of the season which prevented him attending draft camp scared a few away.
Dodoro our recruiting managed couldnt hide his delight, started reading out his name before the AFL blokes finished their sentence

Blaine Boekhorst, Carlton's first round pick had this to say earlier in the season on twitter
"How can Carlton kick 1 goal 5 in a half, disgusting display of footy! The whole Carlton team need to go or Mick does"

If I was a Demons fan, i'd be praying that the saints pick Petracca. Whilst Petracca will most likely turn out to be a fair player, Melbourne struggle to kick a score which would be acceptable for a game of soccer, and a trio of Hogan/Dawes/McCartin gives them a bit of potency in a few years.

This is true, but still Petrecca and Brayshaw will turn Melbourne into a Midfield beast of a team in years to come. Hogan and Dawes up forward doesnt look too bad, but McCartin would be better. But if hes not there at picl 2 then there is not much you can do.

Obviously- my point was more based on the point of view if I was a demons fan. The potential for a lethal forward 50 combo of Hogan/McCartin would be my ideal draft selection over yet another midfielder.

Toumpas and Trengove (whilst injured), are another couple of mids waiting in the wings.

Could also do with another key defender.

I see your point, but maybe we could have a crack at getting hawkins via free agency next year...

Will Cory Gregson be permitted to take his place at Geelong, or is he locked in to play for SHOCs?

Port go for some key position depth, which I'm fairly happy with.

Hopefully at least one or two turn out ok.

Yes he is, a very light framed lad but apparently has some touch. I reckon i heard he came from soccer and has only played footy for maybe 2 years but looks the goods... good luck to him

Doggies drafted 4 small forward types i reckon... interesting.

He played footy since he was 6 years old but was also a very talented soccer player and had a year off footy when he was 13 i think then he played both again, has always been a gun he kicked 6 goals in his first ever under 8's game.

As you should be, Heeney was easily top-5 so to get him at 18 is an absolute steal.

Seems every player this year should have been top 5.

Agreed. It seems every single club come out with the same line "We can't believe he slipped to pick such and such" you can only fit 10 players in to the top 10 picks!
