Absolutely, but more importantly how good was he and Mitchell with their leadership qualities at each break. Both guns, go you Hawks. :D

Ports time is coming and have X Factors bleeding out their arse like the Ebola virus. They've got some serious ******* potential when they had the ability to open up Hawthorn wide open in their prime. Just couldn't finish it.

Focus on the process and the outcome will follow. Has the ability to be the next dynasty in the AFL.

Played a quater and a half against one of the best sides the AFL has seen on the last 30 years and lost by 3 points. Watch out!

Yep, now Port fans know how us crows felt 2 years ago, beaten by Hawthorn in a prelim final by less than a goal.

Except Port came from 5th beating Freo in Perth in the process.

:(

Well played Hawthorn- didnt take our opportunities when presented to us. Particularly that 1st quarter.

Seriously proud of my club though. What an amazing turnaround from basket case to a kick away from a grand final.

A lot of work ahead to take those 2 extra steps. Cant wait for trade period and the eagerly awaited round 1 clash.

Onto cricket- carn the aussies haha!

As for next week- heart says Hawthorn for the wife, head says Sydney. Promises to be a cracker. At least we can all say that the best 2 teams will clash on the final saturday in september. The final 8 system has again proven that the top 4 is the ticket to the GF. Something we need to ensure we achieve in 2015 to give us the best possible chance.

Well said Valleys and bad luck tonight. Showed you were more than capable of creating the opportunities, just didn't capitalize on enough of them. You are rightfully very proud of your team/club.

As for next week, the Hawks didn't show enough tonight to suggest they would beat the Swans next week. They looked slow and old, but perhaps a little bit calmer and more efficient, an advantage you wouldn't think they'd have against the Swans. That said, I think the Hawks would know now they won't get away with that again so should produce close to their best, meaning they'd be a chance next week.

Port missing the top 4 when they probably shouldn't have, imho, was always going to hurt them. I think the whole football world knows their best is good enough to beat anyone.

Come on Dutch. I love ya mate but the umps weren't to blame tonight. 29 scoring shots to 22 and losing by 3 points was.

We have nobody to blame but ourselves. 8.4 in that 1st term instead of 3.9 and we are flying back to adelaide tonight preparing for a GF. It really is that simple.

Hypotheticals here guys- but if we were to snare Ryder in this seasons trade period- is he the missing piece of the PAFC puzzle towards a GF birth?

Thoughts?

Whilst I'm in the what Vic police call a holding area I'll give my thoughts on tonight's game. It's all probably wrong and when I sober up I'll look and think why did you post that but f**k it I will now.

- Umpiring was a F**king disgrace but NOT why we lost
- bad kicking equals bad footy
- give the hawks a sniff your f**ked soooooo good by foot
- Port have a huge future. Massive (Crows 2012 compeared to Port 2014 is f **king laughable)
- Both Supporter groups outstanding electric to be at
- Ebert and Cornes shouldn't be allowed to kick
- Shaun B still a gun
- Travus Boak. Best captain in the comp on par with duckwood and Hodge
- Sydney by 23
- Hombcsh injury was dead set sickening wish him all the best

I'd rather us push for another key Mid. Ryder is good yes BUT I think people forget the form Redden was starting to show. F**k Renouf off and were ok in that dept
