Outside grand finals, that goes into my top three Port wins.

Along with Showdown #1 and the '96 Prelim.

Still buzzing...

2004 Prelim over St.Kilda, 2004 GF and yesterday are my three highlights at AFL level.

Looking at Melbourne on Saturday :

- Lost to GWS
- Dont know who the coach and President/Chairman is going to be
- Losing money hand over fist
- Lacking a major sponsor
- Players look second rate, disinterested and lacking the skill to play at this level.

This is pretty much where Port was 12 months ago. How quickly things can be turned around!

Port look like making finals, the new coach is a ripper and the President is out there exposing the club to international sponsors, membership is up, money matters getting better. How long is 12 months in football?

Think Melbourne are in a worse position than Port.. seems they have been struggling consistently for like 20yrs now, and the the power clubs are getting bigger, Melbourne market is shrinking think they are headed the way of Fitzroy unfortunately..

Ditto Boon. Id probably have the 1st showdown equal with yesterday- nothing like winning the first and last at AAMI as the supposed "inferior" team :D

Not as long as 49 years. These idiots sacked Norm Smith. See you later club.
