Talk on the national game

Just some thoughts popping into my head at the moment.

Also we need to look closely at the draft now. We have developed a sort of Ruck divison that is ok at the moment. Lobbe is getting better and developing well. Redden is also starting to develop well. Renouf is ok, but just needs to have a good preseason and then we have the raw Cunrow. Ok so thats proabably not horribly bad. But looking at the draft we maybe in with a chance to get Brodie Grundy? Depending on what Melbourne are going to be required to do of course. But would we look at him if we had the chance?

I think we need to first get a coach on board and try and work out what we are doing with our talls. At the moment we have Daniel Stewart who is a forward/ruckmen and Westhoff can also pinch hit there as well.

I would like to see Trengrove concentrate on playing a KP role down back. And look at getting more game time into Blee which may not be hard if Chaplin is gone. But we have Schultz out of FF and Butcher will be handy with a full pre season under his belt. So does Westhoff and Stewart start to be looked at as the "leigh brown" roll where they play as the 3rd tall and part time ruckmen? I dont think we can take in 2 genuine ruckmen into the game.

Only an overseas exhibition game, but good to see a come from behind win against WB overnight in London.

Monfries apparently playing well.

Still a long way to go, but this trip could go a fair way to bonding the players closer together for next year and beyond.

The club website now has a replay of the London game v Western Bulldogs, although 1st quarter not available until a day or so, due to technical problems.
