With all the talk about Dangerfield now staying at the cows Geelong seem to be red hot on Boak and up untill the weekend i was concered but in the gold coast win he seemed very pumped and excited with the win getting around the boys. Look maybe i'm reading to much in to it but his body language looked to me like a bloke who wanted to be there and believed in what was happening i hope i'm right.... [-o<

Very nearly left two years ago when we were heading towards rock bottom. Another two years away from his Mum and sister can work one of two ways :

1 - He is more comfortable here now and wont leave or...
2 - Misses them more than ever and wants to go back.

Geelong would have to trade for him and as much as I would not want to lose him, we can only hear what they have to offer if they want him badly enough.

I'd expect him to stay, with the captaincy part of his package?

Would he command a high salary at the cats with them having to contend with selwood, bartel etc?

Id love to see him captain the power, has had the respect of the playing group and coaches for a number of years now.

I'm sure some other Vic clubs will be able to offer us something better than Geelong can. If he wants to play hard ball with us, send him to GWS.

There is no official deadline, Primus wants an early response but Boak is holding out until seasons end.

Great news... needed him to build the side around... with Boak, Harlett, Ebert and Wingard as the up and comer we have th basis of a decent midfield for quite a few years to come... just need to build on some depth and lift the skill level dramatically and they wont be too far away.

Great news and I'm happy that Boaky is staying with us. We really have a good set of young players at the moment and just need a good senior coach to provide them with the development. I really enjoyed watching Wingard is the last part of the season, he is going to be some sort of player. That goal he kicked in the last qtr against richmond a real clutch goal and just showed the class of the young fella (no matter how the ball spun ;) ).

We have a good age profile to work with in my opinion.

I think we will have a small list turn over with Salter, Banner and Philips probably gone. Salopek will head back to Melbourne and Chaplin might head to Richmond. Also I think Hitchcock might be looked at as well. So thats 6 possible changes.

I know we are chasing Maloney as a free agent and I have also heard we are looking at Monfries as well. He is a good player and it would be good to get him, but the other one worth looking at is Russell from Carlton. He he can get back to his best and he is only 25 then he would be a really good pick up.
