That's what I'm thinking jabber. Good signs at tiger land. Lost to Carlton by 14 points, drew with the saints, and beat the kangas who quite frankly, we have struggled to beat the last couple of years. Brisbane more of a chance to lose to GC I feel

North fans would be well upset, they looked to be on the up, tough draw to start with but 0-4 you dont get back from there.

Boon your doing alright mate, you have come back on here when you knew you would cop a hiding, so you've done alright. My boys and dutchies boys will need to front up to them soon, so I'm slightly concerned that we might fail at that test, we have had a couple of wins, but still you do need to be wary. That said the bombers will probably kill them this weekend if they get there heads right. Could be tough after the Anzac day clash.
Anyway boon chin up, Port will come good in the end.

You tell Booney to keep his chin up but you've been talking down the Eagles all season. I reckon you've made great strides this year and you'll beat the Demons tonight to be knocking on the door of the top eight. No way will the Eagles lose to the Gold Coast Cash.

Worrying times @ Alberton - dare I say it... Imploding?

FINALLY someone mentions this other than me (to mates and anyone else who will listen).

I agree, I still fail to see how this will save all for the Power. Better stadium deal - yes no doubt, but I can't see how another 10-15k will rock up on the basis that it's played in town! Plus, if people are staying away because of cost/location, will they be able to afford the increased ticket prices to enter the new Adelaide oval after redevelopment/refurbishment?

As you say, the better stadium deal will help.
As for the additional fans, there will be some who can make the effort to head into town for a game, then onto other events in town. At the moment with footy park, it's one or the other, and with the current brand of footy my boys are putting out, the other is finding it easier to win my attention on a saturday night. (There will also be a slight drop off from fans who live down west lakes way).

Short term (1-2 years) there will be an increase in attendances simply due to the novilty factor of footy at a new venue. This will help, and hopefully by 2016 the power have remembered how to play and can draw a crowd for what they are doing on field.

True Trader, short term I think there will be an increase in crowds. Longer term is the issue. And spending 450mill or whatever the final figure is on a short term gain - without the assurance that a longer term sustainable solution will be a defininte outcome, is the issue.

Well it is very likely that the development will not go ahead. 75% to say yes, come on we know that development is a very evil word in adelaide. Remember how hard is was to get lights there!
