If the AFL are fair dinkum then this:

Seven is on the record as being against moving their top-rated Better Homes and Gardens from the 7:30pm timeslot.

Shouldn't be allowed to occur.

If the AFL let this slide through, then everyone should boycott BH&G and FNF because it's the only way to affect ratings and thereby make them switch.

Or 9 do FNF and 7 do Monday - IF they are prepared to show it earlier on that night.

Must only be an Adelaide "thing". My mate in Canberra has Fox and watches it on the Main Event channel live.

But foxtel dont have the ads (well at least only ads for more foxtel shows) free to air tv is only free to air cos they sell advertising during their shows. Alcohol ads are one of the most populous ad types during the footy, so therefore make the stations a lot of money. they would be reluctant to put the footy on in a time slot that would prevent them from showing such a lucrative section of ads.

The ACT, QLD and NSW always get this privilege as they think nobody really watches (NRL have two Friday night games each week) so they chuck it on Main Event to not clog up Fox Sports.
