Club Losses after a drawn grand final

Postby locky801 » Sat Sep 25, 2010 6:50 pm

One must ponder how much both Collingwood and St Kilda will lose financially tonight and probably during the week due to a drawn grand final. No doubt they would have had food./booze/entertainment lined up plus the big Sunday celebration/wake, Obviously some things can be saved but alot of food ordered and bought cant be. I would doubt there would be many at either club tonight, although I am one for not changing rules would be interested to see in weeks to come how much the clubs lost financially after this draw. Think of all further merchandise they could sell during the week.

Wouldn't it be merely postponed by a week, thus not costing them any more in the end. If anything, they'll end up bringing in more revenue with increased merchandise sales this week.

For the record both post match parties have been cancelled tonight.

So does Luke Miles have to back up and defend his GF sprint again next week?

Do the retirees get another farewell?

Is there a second Normie given?

Yes there will be another one awarded next week.

Also any players not selected for the replay to due injury or decision of match committee will not receive a premiership medal. Only the 22 who take to the field on Saturday will get one.
