Very good coaching in my book.
They will be hard to beat for the next few years.

Those younger boys were excellent today, especially Morabito, what a gun! They're keeping blokes like Palmer and Headland out of the side, must be doing something right.

I'm not expecting to get past next week at all, but I am impressed with what a bunch of no-name youngsters have done this year after being touted as one of the wooden spoon favourites 8 months ago.

It's no coincidence that they've got the recruiting right for a change, there's been a lot of changes in personnel and I think the change in club president had something to do with the improvement as well.

I rate this year better than 2006 when they made the prelim. It's a pretty successful year for a club that's been a chopping block for smart arses since they were created.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Morabito was tearing it up the WAFL last year. Pav said he rated Mora better than himself at the same age.

No matter what happens this season you'd think Freo will improve next year.

Really? Wow. People were compairing to Adam Goodes when he was drafted, being that taller, 190cm plus, break the lines midfielder.

Yeah Pav said in the media at the start of the year that he saw himself in Mora but more advanced at the same age. Fingers crossed that we've got another one.

I've had the opportunity to meet some of the strength and conditioning people and the medical staff there and it's been funny to read online "LOL LOL it's just Freo", but there's some quality people behind the scenes these days and the decision on Launceston wouldn't have been Harvey's so much. It's looking justified at the moment. All Freo needed to do was get past week one to prove something.

It would've nice to finish the minor round in the top four but Harvey never said that Freo are a top four side, but they're definitely building towards it.

I reckon it was good for Mark Havey to keep things in perspective and not to come out and say Freo are going to do this, this and this, meaning there were never any major expectations on them. Todays game proved to everyone that Freo deserved to be there. I personally thought that Freo would give into the pressure of finals footy, guess not.

A great deal of the Victorian media has egg all over its face after this result. Last night and this morning the majority of them were talking about Hawthorn / Geelong final next week like it was a given. Kudos Freo.

Haven't read the rest of the comments, because i'm blind as a bat, but here it is anyway. here's hoping Cats win next week. problem, is Freo were awesome today with their pressure. Na, we will pump them. Had three queries on Cats and we've lost all three. I'm confident now. We will pump Freo.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

I have no doubt. This is the second time this year (first being Launceston) that I feel we have no hope, but I'm happy with the season results the club has delivered.

It's been strange watching the media tear into the Dockers because of a run of losses in the back half of the season, yet not one of them predicted a finals appearance prior to the season starting. At the start of the year if you said they'd finish 6th and win a final, you'd take it as a good year for a young list.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Will this change the way clubs prepare their players for finals? I reckon more clubs will give it a try next year and beyond.

Yeah well why not, seemed to work for them, there key players seemed to be fit and ready to go. I guess it shows if a week is a long time in football then a two is a fricken eternity!

Now wait for the Collingwood/Geelong comments to come. I just hope we respect Freo or we are going to have egg on our face as well.
