Im with ya CK, IMO was a tad over rated

I'm biased, but i think it's fair.

McLeod was amazing.
He was playing with pace and attacking flair back in 1990s and now they all try to play like him.

The goal VS Pies to win...
The crumbed goal VS West Coast at FULL pace.
The run down the wing and goal in a showdown.

Youtube his highlights.

I also loved to watch Pickett.

being a youngen, most of those guys were before my time or very much on there way out when i started getting into footy. (around about ''96/'87)

so to not sway the votes too far to the mose current couple (mcleod and goodes), i decided not to vote.

A lot of the blokes above weren't models of consistency. Winmar was one of my favourite opposiiton players but he didn't gun it every time either. Longy had a very good period for a few years around the time of that Dons flag.

Hooray, someone said it!!!! Over rated to the hilt, putting him in the same sentence as McLeod is off. He was your typical indigenous footballer, flashy and quick but lacked consistency.

It always irks me when an indigenous player does something the 'special' or 'wizadry' comments come out yet the white boys do the same and it's simply the high level of skill we expect from an AFL player that recieves no glorifying comments from the media.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

I have raised this issue before, but adam goodes wrote the same thing in a newspaper article 2 or 3 months back. feels as though a lot of the hard work indigenous players put in to perform so well is plainly overlooked on account of " magic" or some such thing.

I went with Mcleod, Wanganeen and Goodes. Only because they are players of my age group that I have grown up watching and thought were not only the best indigenous players but pretty much some of the best players in general. Also for what they all bring to the indigenous community both on and off the field.

One thing the indigineous player has rarely been called is 'consistent' but I think it's fair to say Bunji, Wangas and Goodes have been very consistent players over a long time
I also always admired Nicky Winmar, the Krakeour brothers and Wirrpanda and as a South supporter, people alot older than me speak volumes for Soapy Kantilla's ability.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
