Interesting that some of the worst are indoor stadiums, can imagine if you cut costs with them they can be terrible.

OT slightly but anyone know why MLB/NFL stadiums generally dont have roofs over the stands?

The stadium at Docklands demonstrates the big problem of "sissifying" Aussie Rules by trying to make it an indoor sport.
Surely the weather is part of the game - for the supporters too!
When I went regularly I stood out on the mound in my rain coat, and hoisted the umbrella if it really rained.

Those deadly weapons are now banned from just about any sporting venue now days.....

The Advertiser and the pro-roof stadium bandwagon have overlooked some of the flaws with Ethiad Stadium the biggest one being that we can't seem to grow grass in it . As I hear it on the radio discussion, grass is sent into that stadium to die. Apparently Les Burdett was of the opinion that the ground needed to be heated so the grass would grow. I suspect an underground heating system is not in anyone's cost estimates for a stadium with a roof.

I thought that Etihad were investing several million to have lighting and heating system installed which would allow the grass to grow, don't know how Eddie can demand it be ball doozed!

Yeah - as I said - it's all gone soft!
We could always bring back the Duffle Coat if they can't cope with brollies I guess.
