FUZZY WUZZY ANGELS HONOURED IN SONG

Multi Award winning Country music songwriter and recording artist, Graham Rodger is carving an enviable career in Country Music, following the recent release of his ninth Album, ”Shadows Across The Moon”. “The Album has taken us by surprise with the phenomenal reception it has received by both the media and public alike. Radio Stations Australia wide have embraced the album for its sincerity. Track by track the listener is taken on an emotional journey through the theatres of their minds, as they meet quintessional Australian characters and, visit far flung landscapes, while having a chuckle and shedding a tear or two along the way” said Graham. “It has been a labour of love, and we feel we have reached the pinnacle with this latest CD”.

The first radio single lifted from the album, ”Angels without halos”, is already receiving extensive airplay around the country. The song is a tribute to the Fuzzy Wuzzy Angels who worked side by side with our Diggers on the infamous Kokoda Trail during the Second World War. We needed each other to stop the threat from the north , and in atrocious conditions, won through in early 1943. I have spoken with a number of people who have had a parent or Grandparent taken back down the track by the Fuzzy Wuzzys, and each of them couldn’t speak highly enough of the care and dedication displayed by the natives.

The song has been embraced by the Hawthorne (sic) Football Club in Melbourne, and was played to official guests during the recent “Kokoda” game, in which money is raised for the families living in and around the track .in PNG. Negotiations are currently under way for Graham to sing the song live on the big Anzac day game next year. “That will give me the chance to get the song out in front of around ninety thousand people” Graham said.. “The atmosphere in those big stadiums is absolutely electric and I can only imagine what it would be like.”

Graham has a huge following around the country, and with forty four Awards and seven final nominations in the Golden Guitars, it is no wonder that this cutting edge singer of Australian songs, is fast climbing the ladder of success.
