A charge against a football fan was dropped today after dramatic security camera footage was played to a court showing two transit officers allegedly bash the man's face into a Subiaco train station platform.

without being able to hear what is being said, it's a bit difficult to know what the situation is. it could be a case of a couple of smart-mouthed wakers getting what they deserved, or heavy handed security chumps on a power trip.

Just heard the lawyer representing the guys on the radio. Some of these Transperth guards would go well with Weslo.

Edit: as Punk Rooster said, it's definitely the latter. Trust me on that one.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

watching the footage, it appears the coward of the Transperth Guards was the first to strike with the mace- they were outnumbered FFS.
Pathetic as well, holding 1 hand up as "defense", whilst holding mace/pepper spray with the other.
By the looks of the footage, the guards wanted some action.

i thought that was pretty funny when they're all standing there with the hand up!

and i also got the impression that the guards were just out to get someone. the way they were swarming around, i understand they're probably trained how/where to stand, but just with the body language i reakon they were keen on playing fistycuffs!

I wouldn't be surprised if the team they were barracking for made things worse. I've seen it at Footy Park as well where there's been a disparity in the way "trouble makers" are treated if they're not supporting the locals. Cringe-worthy stuff.

I think you're right about the guards wanting some action, if they met a real thug they wouldn't be able to handle it.
