Am I the only one who thinks Nathan van Berlo is going backwards quick smart? Was a better player at 21 than he is now, even with 100+ games behind him.

I agree NFC. The lack of pre-season must have a big affect on his best asset, his fitness!

But he's still racking up 25+ possies, so clearly fitness isn't a huge issue, it's his (often) horrendous disposal. Handballs to players under pressure all the time and his decision making in general is just terrible.

The Crows need to lift their heads and look further ahead, not handball to the nearest team mate regardless of their situation.
I noticed Hawthorn hand balled longer to guys in the clear more often, and kicked longer in general.
The Crows tended to kick shorter in the field, too, except when they blazed away at the goal square, blindly, from too far out.

Can someone teach Kurt Tippett to kick please ?? Missing set shots from 10 metres out right in front isn't good enough in AFL football and when the opposition bring it straight back in and goal down the other end that really hurts !!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Heard the comment from commentary along the lines of
"This is the best game Hawthorn have played this year"
It is about the 4th or 5th time i've heard this in a team playing against the Crows.
We play teams into form, and are that bad make them look great.

I could not believe it.
He seems, and has said it on radio, that he prefers to have a set shot from 40+ than 0-40m.
Surely there is someone out there than can teach him how to kick a goal.

Tippett's probably got the best contested mark in the comp and has a huge future, but his kicking for goal is a major concern. He can slot it from 55 as he did against Collingwood in the SF and yet struggles from 10-15 metres out. His ball drop is awful and you never have any confidence in him to slot the goal, regardless of where he's taking it from.
