The new Neighbours

What did we think?

Seems they used some new filming techniques.
Jenay isn't going to die - which is a good thing.
The reworked song doesn't sound so good - where's Barry Crocker?
They used the term 'dogwatching' in the script.
Terrible wedding - that won't get the punters thinking the show's back to its glory days.
And what the hell do beach changing sheds have to do with Ramsay Street?

They just moved stations in the UK - sold it for something stupid like $800m.

Hence the improved look and cast.

Fair bet the storylines won't improve - though they will move away from 'event' television (less expolosions, kidnappings, psychos etc) in favour of more family oriented stories...

Yet the first episode in this "reworking" of the show featured a fiery road accident and subsequent explosion.

There's still another few months of storylines to wind up before the 'New Neighbours' takes hold.

Remains to be seen if anything actually changes...
