Shrek the Third

.....is not good. Just went with my kids. It doesn't have the same amount of laughs as the first two. They've got this 'King Arthur' character that has a whiny bit at the end that's supposed to make us all love one another.

Shreak III again relies on the old farting and burping jokes but contains the usual excellent standard of animation and some interesting use of music including Zeppelin's Immigrant Song and Heart's Barracuda.

All in all this movie is clearly the worst of the three Shreks and a long way short of the predecessors.

REB Says - The King is dead. Long live the King. Off with his head!!

Miss it if you are able to do so.

regards,

REB

I think the mistake shrek made was that it worked on both kids and adult levels from the beginning, and now it's not working at adult levels, and it's not the kids who write the reviews...

Once a movie becomes a 'franchaise' (there's that word again) it probably doesn't matter if the reviews are poor, it's all about the box office. After all, it is the kids who will be dragging their unfortunate parents to see this ogre.

Shrek 4 is already in the making.
Hopefully that will be better.

I went to watch a kids movie with the kids. Got what I expected.

The kids loved it, which is all I wanted when we went. I thought it was entertaining, nothing more.

Who doesn't laugh at fart jokes though?
