We probably all know the story of 'The 300 Spartans & the Battle of Thermopylae (The Hot Gates)'
Year 8 History wasn't all earflicks, coconuts & spit bombs to the dorks sitting up front of the classroom!
But if its mindless cartoonish bloodshed, carnage & historical inaccuracy you want...
then check out Frank Miller's 300
Created in the same 'Comic Book' style as SIN CITY it's a CGI bloodfest of epic proportions!
Critics of the film tell us it's a vehicle for the FOX NEWS/George Bush War-Machine type Propaganda
with the way the Bad Guys God/King Xerses & his Persians (aka Iranians) are portrayed! ...& maybe they're right?
However, Bugger the politics!
It's still a good entertaining flick with a shitload of carrion!

'Asterix versus Caeser' & Asterix: Mission Cleopatra
Both been on FOXTEL's World Movies Channel... So odds on would be hitting SBS soon enough!
They're not all that bad eh!
Big budget flicks with a heap of special effects & CGI, story's pretty much true to the books as well!
...The lingo's ala Francais however!
