Posted: Thu Apr 05, 2007 7:19 pmThe real death won't be the show itself, but the endless cross-promotion across the Seven stable - which has already started. Sunday evening's news carried a piece that went for nearly five minutes. The inevitable Sunrise piece. The "Gotta Love It" station promo.
Posted: Fri Apr 06, 2007 11:11 amI read one of the 7 execs bragging how the bigger budget will allow for bolder new sets (seeya later dodgy suburban atmos that at least allowed us to relate to the show, hello set from 'Hey Dad!') and a multitude of guest stars each week. Did they even see the Chris Martin episode of Extras? Nothing signals a show has jumped the shark more than roping in past-it guest stars (who no doubt will tie in with Dancing With the Stars etc). Makes me want to puke.
