Yeah, I'm not a fan of 'RocKwiz' either! ](*,)

Why does it seem mandatory in TV-land the fact that all shows relating to the music industry
have to be presented by the most annoying hosts?
The WORST case scenario was a coupla years back on FOXTEL's 'V Channel'
where the compere for a program dedicated to Heavy Metal, Hardcore etc. was
none other than that f'wit metrosexual tossa Andrew G!!!

Quote Abe Simpson: "It angrys up the blood!" :x

Andrew G defiantly wasn't the best person BUT he is a metal head from way back.

I have to agree - it was great.
Mind you I would have prefered it with Shannon Noll and Natalie Bassingthwaite. Not.

Paul Dempsey sounded great at the end, never been a fan of his when he's "quiet" in songs... but rather belting it out.

If anyone saw Yumi Stynes hosting a Metallica special they had on V a few years back would have been longing to have Andy G back. She was disgraceful, and Im usually a fan of her work.

Who is Kate Miller-Heidke? She is pretty good, until she tries to sing aggressively towards the end.

Paul Dempsey!! Cant sing, writes crap songs.

Good cover of a pretty dodgy song though. Better than the original.

While Im not a fan of many ACDC songs, and this definately isn't one of them, this cover kicks ass. Angry Anderson is an icon of Aussie music, and Sarah McLeod is as brilliant as she always is. The best female musician this country has produced.

Hang on!

I thought his claim to fame was that he played bass in Resin Dogs.

For about five minutes...

Dont know too many would agree with you on your dempsey call PAFC testement to having songs in the hottest 100 pretty much every year. SFK have sold millions of albums and have been one of australias leading bands throughout the 90's and 00's. Log on you tube and watch another cover "truly" , a touch of class.

Theres a difference between a good, successful band and someone who can sing. Look at Cold Chisel, a huge Aussie band, and who can tell me Jimmy Barnes is actually a good singer?

Here ar my 2 cents worth on all the people mentioned in ths thread!

Andrew G- Still Metal at heart just knows metal aint gonna make him rich being a sellout tool on C10 will.

Jimmy Barnes - Is a great singer, just not in the traditional way.

Julia Zemiro - fckin Spastic. Have to say Adam Hills is great on Spicks and Specks(anyone see last nites?, how funny was the R Kelly "in the closet" bit????? The conductor guys comedy was on fire too)

Yumi Stynes - Cant stand the hoe.

Paul Dempsey - Meh! never impressed me, but i respect all musicians that write their own music not sing with pro tools on a track someone writes and sells to them.

Noll and Bassingwaite - Pffft, i fart better songs then the cover they did. Ruined a good song.

I'm confused, why am I the only person who looks Julia Zemiro from Rockwiz?

I reakon she does a great job, very funny.

Rockwiz & Spicks'n'specks are both compulsory viewing, are basically complimentary too each other.

Rockwiz is mainly about the music and musicians, Spicks is mainly about the various Comedians who appear on the show. Any Spick show with either Hamish, Ross Noble, Colin Lane or Frank Woodley is generally as funny as anything on TV.
