Mr Bean: The Movie

Being a fan of Rowan Atkinson (Black Adder), I thought I'd watch "Mr Bean: The Movie", but it's painfully obvious that the material required to do a 20 min episode, as compared to a film, well the gags run thin.
In short, it looks as though they used all the gags in the opening scene.
My question is, why not "Black Adder: The Movie!"
(& not that garbage "Black Adder: A Christmas Carol")

There was 'Blackadder Back & Forth' a one off short telemovie come out round the year 2000
Set in present times Baldrick invents some sort of Time Machine where he & Edmund Blackadder
go visit various Blackadder incarnations throughout history. (Roman, Napoleonic, Robin Hood times etc.)
Even back to Prehistoric times facing a Tyrannosaurus Rex...
I can't really remember it in any more detail, but it pops up on UKTV from time to time.
But odds on it's probably out on DVD anyway, try ABC Shops I reckon!

There's also former All-Blacks Lock 'Todd Blackadder'
you can ask MagicKiwi about that one eh!

I thought Black Adder's Christmas Carol was great. It was in the same vein as the regular TV series with some bits here and there where he was playing the part of Ebeneezer Scrooge. I would have thought if you were a fan of the series then you'd enjoy the Carol also. As for the Bean movie, though I didn't think it was fantastic I still thought it was alright.
I do agree that a Black Adder movie would be better, they probably went with Mr Bean because that character has a more global appeal than Black Adder, which is unheard of in Bean happy Japan (Not sure about the U.S, have they heard of Black Adder?).

Blackadder would be too cerebral for the Seppo audience...
I reckon 'The Benny Hill Show' is as good as it gets over there!
