bob bower ("that sturt machine") (from his footy commentary)
noel o'connor (tv)
jimmy deane ("this is the best side i've seen since the war")(also from his footy commentary)
bert day (race caller)
ian day (footy/tv)
david darcy (footballer,coach & tv & yeah lukes dad)
there is just a few wher are they now & what are they doing ??
there are many others out there but i'll leave it to this at the moment & see what you guys come up with

Saw Greg Clarke at the Wetminders Christmas Lights. Old, bald and fat, just like me
Saw Lionel Williams at Woolies in his trackies a couple of days later. Old, bald, fat.

Jimmy Deane, my favourite all time radio footy commentator, the guy no doubt would just be enjoying retirement now. Ian Day, another great commentator, would no doubt be enjoying retirement as well, did see him at half time on an ABC footy telecast last year.
David Darcy, loved his commentating style as well, along with another guy in the 80's who has been involved with Norwood, Gerry Harrison i think his name was. Not sure if it was because i grew up in the 70's/80's, but i certainly enjoyed the commentators of that era more than today's.
Heres a few more, Wally May and Dick Jones (not sure if either are still with us any more).

Dick Jones favourite saying if a poor crowd rolled up in the SANFL :
" Ive seen more people at a scene of an accident."
Ian Aitken used to say:
" Hes got a leap like a startled gazelle."
Wally May had a saying:
" A beautttttttty."
And of course Max Hall used to say:
" Comment Wally May."
That SANFL footy show on Sundays after the games was my favourite TV show.
Ian AITKEN got into the vending machine business ?

Nah Mal, I know Ian Aitken pretty well (firends with my in law's) he sells cleaning products to the hotel industry and also into property development, plays golf regularly up at Mt Osmond...funny bloke on the piss
