Another $15 pi$$ed away on an Aussie flick.

The director Paul Goldman, who is already on my list of local filmmakers who owes me the price of a ticket to their pieces of crap, now owes me $30.

The Night They Called It A Day.

Could ask for $7.50 for 'Australian Rules' but that's just being pedantic.

:)

Good call. "The Night we called it a day" was pretty bad. I didn't mind "Australian Rules" but we did get on DVD and didn't see it at the cinema.

The lead actress - Emily Barclay - is a Kiwi.

But it's very much an Aussie flick.

Shot in Newcastle.

Very close to it if you apply the three strikes and you're out principle.

Mind you, the Kiwis have been kicking our ar$e re: films in the past ten years or so.

Especially when you take into account that Jane Campion and Russell Crowe aren't Aussies...

I was really looking forward to seeing this movie, pity it doesn't seem to live up to the wraps I'd read about it ... Think it's one I'm still gonna have to sit through myself though.

LMAO .. At least now you've dramatically lowered my expectation ... Hopefully enough to make it surprisingly better than I thought
