For those of you who love a bargain JB HiFi have the outstanding Australian Mini Series "Blue Murder" on DVD at the moment for a mere $7. Being in Victoria I am assuming JB HiFi in other states have similiar pricing structure.
Just watched it again for the second time. This must rate as one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) moments of Australian Produced television. Brilliant.

Haven't seen it but have heard of it. Might have to check it out.
From IMDB :
"The broadcast of this film in New South Wales was delayed for six years due to Neddy Smith's appeal against his life sentence."

Seven bucks!
Rushing off to JB right now!
Arguably the best film/mini-series Australia has ever produced.
Behind the scenes stories are just as interesting, too...

A great series/DVD- I got it "hot off the pres" a few years ago, as it was sub judice at one stage.
I have quite a collection of books also- "Neddy", & "Catch & Kill Your Own" being relevant to Blue Murder.

Also, 'In the Line of Fire' about Michael Drury.
Roger Rogerson has just penned his version of events, which, not surprisingly, refutes a lot of the events in 'Blue Murder.'
Imagine that would sell rather well...

i have the dvd also and watched the mini-series when shown on abc quite some time ago with more than just a passing interest as an uncle of mine was a high ranking copper over there at the time, he actually got a mention in "police state" and "police crop" which preceded blue murder on the abc he was also a good mate of colin winchester who was gunned down in his driveway, dont know if he was crooked (uncle) but if he was he took any black money to the grave with him as my aunty doesnt show any signs of wealth, back to blue murder it was banned from tv in nsw for a long time - i'm not sure if it is still.

First shown in NSW in 2000/2001.
Both 'Police State' and 'Police Crop' were written by Ian David, who also wrote, you guessed it, 'Blue Murder.'
