What TV shows do you hate and why? There is a lot to chose from, especially now the ratings period has finished.

I am currently writing a pilot,it is called "Cops and Doctors",it is based around a doctor who is having an affair with the forensic scientist that works in his Emergency unit investigating the accidents that have occured. It's set in a small country town where every one knows every one and no-body knows about the affair. The guest star each week is a winner of Big-brother / Idol.Should be a hit.

60 minutes.... It's too much of a one sided view
Sunrise.... Because "kochy" thinks his so funny, but he's not. They need to just get on with giving us the morning news, not 2 hours of witty banter.
Home and away and neighbours....... The acting is just to poor quality.
And some reality shows have passed there used by date.
such as .. "Australian idol" (Casey Donavan ruined it for me)
" Big Brother" (It wouldn't be so bad if they found a new host. Gretal Killeen pisses me off)

If you think Days of Our Lives is bad (anyone), then you aint seen nothing until you've seen Passions.
Oh yeah, and I dislike Survivor, Big Brother, etc.
And the three bitches - Charmed.

There's a great reality show on Foxtel (don't have it but I've seen it) called 'Kill Reality'. It features one of the losers from Survivor (Rob C if anyone cares) who gets together a bunch of the more interesting contestants of all the awful reality shows like Survivor, Amazing Race, Temptation Island etc... with the premise that they live together in a house while they are shooting a movie (written by Rob of course) with them as actors. It's appalling but amazing to watch as their collective ego swells beyond belief. The best bit though is watching Johnny Fairplay (scrawny Johnny Rotten lookalike who lied about his grandma dying just to win a prize on Survivor) as he manipulates and shags everyone in sight, taking the piss out of the entire 15 minutes of fame concept while he does it.
The WORST show I have ever seen would come down to two I believe. The first is 'Hey Dad!', a moronic alleged comedy for those who have had a full frontal labotomy and think Funny Home Videos is top-drawer entertainment. Enough said. But the winner is 'Small Wonder', another 80s show in which an apple-pie American dad builds a vile girly robot called Vicki (God, why do I remember that) which gets him and his son into all sorts of sticky situations. It hurts my brain thinking about it.

Seeing that its my thread I should give my opinion.
HOME AND AWAY and NEIGHBOURS - dont know how anyone can watch that mindless dribble.
THE OC - More crap about how teens supposedly live in America or whatever. Cant actually sit through enough of it to get what its about. B grade acting by C grade actors.
Any MEDICAL show - who really wants to see someone getting operated on? No thanks.
ALL SAINTS, HOUSE and ER type shows - people pretending to know what they are talking about when they use medical jargon, seems that if you stick anyone in a gown you will have a hit.
Any arts show on the ABC on Sundays - Complete waste of time - show the footy instead.
Any daytime soapie - Ive seen better acting by primary school kids.
Im sure I'll think of a lot more soon.

I hate....
60 Minutes/TodayTonight/anything in this style of sensationalist, biased reporting/presenting, that has little substance, but is more designed to upset/aggravate those who watch, than search for any justice. This concept has been obviously borrowed from the Yanks, with their drive-by therapy/justice/airing dirty laundry publicly system.
CSI(all 4000 of them)/Forensic anything/etc etc. The fact that I can't remember some is indicative of the glut of these style of shows, and the lack of imagination from those who come up with them.
Reality Tv shows- same as CSI etc, except done on the cheap- actors don't get paid in this lot
TV Soaps that are directed at the feeble minded, who sit around all day wondering why "Jack" is cheating on his wife for the 3000th time, with her mother, who is pregnant with twins etc.. Conversley, these shows all sending a message to bored housewifes that it's ok to screw around while your husband works 15 jobs to keep them in a lifestyle they expect, never for one minute thinking that maybe if they did something more usefull with their time, everybody might be happpier & better off.
Programs I still like...
Rage presenting the top 40/50/100 each weekend, one song after the other, no ditzy or metrosexual host, just music.
Simpsons- no explanation needed
SANFL footy
Seinfeld
