Look, I know it's complete crap but does anyone think Bobby (the freaky looking guy with the fright wig and the Nick Drake fixation) could be an absolute star? His version of Under the Milky Way (great choice) was amazing and When the War is Over (despite the fact I hate Cold Chisel) was even better tonight . His originals sound pretty cool too. Fascinated to see where he goes next - he doesn't fit the Idol stereotype at all which of course makes him all the more interesting. A couple of contestants bitched that they weren't allowed to play guitar or sing originals which is a nice change from all the R&B wannabes doing Whitney Houston covers.
And that silly little girl with the stupid Missy Higgins fake voice - what's that all about? The judges go bananas for her every week - am I crazy or is she the most annoying singer this side of that cow with the hat in Four Non Blondes?
Can't believe I'm hooked on this rot. Oh well. Go Bobby!

Now known as The Bobby Flynn Show.
Don't see the point of allowing contestants to audition with instruments and then banning them during the finals?
Little Missy was horrible as was that Joseph character.
Thought Klancie did a pretty good rendition of Jolene.
But the rest were just white bread - bland and boring.

Bobby was great last night. His original is great that he performed in the auditions (both Idol and Rockstar).
Lisa Mitchell is over-rated.
Klancie suprised me - wasn't a fan of hers at all but she actually did really well.
Joseph looks like he's going to throw up from nerves each time.
Dean reminds me of Jim Morrison for some reason. He'll be top 2.

Oh, and Idol has always been singing - no instruments.
Seems weirder this year thought because of the focus on "singer songwriters".
I beleive after a few weeks they'll be a free choice round where you can sing any song, including your own. Not sure about guitars though.
I'd love to hear Bobby's original again.

Ive never watched this but for some reason I am this season - probably as there is nothing else on!
Agree Bobby is a rare talent and should brain them, but common sense doesnt sit well with 14yo's
