Been watching the 30 for 30 documentaries on ESPN recently, thought most have been pretty good. Just wondering if anyone else had seen any of them or any other good ones out there.

There has been a fair bit of talk about this series in another topic, it could probably be moved into here

bought season 1 off ebay in two dvd box sets. Excellent series of docos. They are showing the second series at the moment. Some good ones to watch are Catching Hell About the guy who caught a foul ball and ended up getting the hate of all cub fans. The U all about The university of Miami football. The ghosts of Ole Miss about the first black man to go to Mississippi University and the 1962 ole Miss Rebels football team.

'America's Game' is an outstanding series that follows the season of every Super Bowl champion. It's amazing the footage they get.

They are great. I rate any of the docos made by NFL Films, they do them well

Yeah, enjoy them.
There is also a similar series called the "Missing Rings" about red-hot favourites that didn't win.
Not sure if they have been on FTA telly, but are on Youtube.
Minnesota feature a couple of times.

Yeah, this was a great one.

I've watched 29 of the 30 so far, should get around to watching the last one.

very good doco... I actually felt sorry for the lad... I reckon the bloke sitting next to him is just as much to blame, he was very fast to finger point... Also the way the left fielder carried on didn't help matters.. The kid had the ear phones on and it must have been soooooooo hard to sit there.

To be fair, if someone did that to take a Premiership away from North I wouldn't be very happy.

if you get the chance aquire a copy of the 24/7 road to the winter classic series. It shows you how two teams prepare for the Winter classic in the NHL

Yeah, very good documentary and was interested to learn the driver of the vehicle in which Petrovic died - his girlfriend - ended up marrying German soccer star Oliver Bierhoff.

Another good one I thought was one about a former professional football running back Marcus Dupree.

Great Doco on him. I found the best one was the Pony Excess on how SMU ended up getting the death penalty. Well worth the watch.

Thought the "Jordan takes the bus" doco was very good as it showed his foray into baseball - particularly his hitting .255 in the superior quality minor ball of the Arizona Fall League - wasn't quite the disaster most sections of the media made it out to be.
Interesting that World Series championship manager Terry Francona was the manager of the Birmingham Barons during this time
