Anyone else watch the debut of this South Aussie show on SBS tonight?

It was actually much better than I thought it would be, it's weird and like an action comedy piss take of the 60's/70's, talking animals and WWII with plots to kill Hitler. The dark haired chick is easy on the optic nerve too.

Looking forward to the nazi dinosaurs next week :)

There are some TV shows you want to give a pass to just because they’re trying something different. TV is a medium that thrives on mediocrity, so any show that strives to achieve something of ambition deserves a certain amount of adulation regardless of how successful it is. Danger 5 falls into this category. Thankfully, Danger 5 also manages to be really, really good.

If the Thunderbirds met ‘Allo ‘Allo would it wind up looking something like Danger 5?

Maybe.

It’s hard to know what demented mind dreamt up this new SBS comedy series -but I’m very glad they did. It’s bizarre stuff from beginning to end and you can’t help but admire their audacity.

DANGER 5's fan base is getting bigger than Godzilla.

Creators of the six 30-minute series after international super spies Dario Russo and David Ashby have been approached by a French TV station to appear on their show to talk about their successes.

They've been interviewed by popular UK sci-fi publication SFX, and cult websites across the United States have been blogging about the series. Even one of the stars of the series Sean James Murphy was recently recognised in Germany.

When the series first aired in late February, it was a trending topic on Twitter and they have more than 6000 "likes" on their Facebook page.

Unfortunately SBS have decided to delay Season 2 of Danger 5 due to the stuff going on in the middle east with ISIS:

FANS of cult Australian comedy Danger 5 will have to wait a little longer for the long-awaited second season of the show, with SBS delaying the planned November screening due to “recent ISIS actions.”

The first season of Danger 5screened to critical acclaim and cult success on SBS in February 2012, and followed five spies in an imagined 1960s-esque version of World War 2 as they attempted to kill Hitler. Since then, fans of the show have been eagerly awaiting news of a second season of the politically incorrect comedy — but this might not be the news they were hoping for.

The second series of Danger 5 finally starts this Sunday night on SBS2 at 9:30pm and SBS2 is showing a Danger 5 season 1 marathon starting at 9:20pm on Saturday night too.

Cult comedy Danger 5 returns to SBS 2 this Sunday night ready to thwart Hitler’s ultimate quest for world domination -but in a 1980’s universe of neon, ninjas, discos, dinosaurs, pizza and prom queens.

The Adelaide-produced series was due to air last month but was delayed by SBS due to “recent ISIS actions.”

I thought the first episode of season 2 was alright, it's being repeated tonight at 9pm on SBS2.
