First dud of 2012.

From the sinking ship that is Channel 9.

Somebody please blow that empty vessel out of the water...

Anything with Shane Bourne in it is bound to fail miserably.

The shoddy promo with Bourne standing with his face over a raging inferno with not so much as a singed eyelash says it all really.

That was my immediate thought upon seeing the ads.

I'm not sure what they're aiming at with those promos. If it's supposed to make us identify with the characters before the series starts then it's not working. I just want to tell them to shut the **** up and find someone else who cares.

Does no one have any new ideas in this country??

COMING SOON TO CHANNEL 9

Soon :
adverb, soon·er, soon·est.
1. within a short period after this or that time, event, etc.: We shall know soon after he calls.
2. before long; in the near future; at an early date: Let's leave soon.
3. promptly or quickly: He came as soon as he could.
4. readily or willingly: I would as soon walk as ride.
5. early in a period of time; before the time specified is much advanced: soon at night; soon in the evening.

I wonder what the Channel 9 executives define as "soon" ? They've been spruiking this shit since the Kiwis beat the Aussies in Hobart in November!

Even Ray "Rabbits" Warren made a comment in the rugby call about 4 weeks ago, when "cross promoting" The Voice he was telling viewers about the show starting on Sunday night "Thank God for that, fell like I've been plugging it for 6 months" he said.

"When you go to the footy/bar/<random event with mates>, you tell me you're coming home soon..."

Tell me about it. I saw an ad for "Bikie Wars: Brothers in Arms" last night. Just a cheap knockoff of Sons of Anarchy.

The "bikies" have the traditional bikie look, but its Australian, so they should really look like walking D&G billboards with trendy "is it a mullet, is it a crew cut" hairstyles..

Based on a true story from the early 80's so would expect to see alot of flannelette and long hair.

Its about the Milpera massacre on fathers day 84 or 85. Some Commancheros left the gang to form the Bandidos and it all came to a head at a swap meet. 7/8 bikies got killed and a young girl who had nothing to do with it got killed as well. For those of us that can remember it dominated the news cycle for the next week or so
