Who is this tool - and why does it remind me of Gabbo.

lol
If the show can live up to the advertising campaign, they'll be doing ok! Would not be surprised though, to see it go the same way as Gabbo...

It annoys me and I haven't even seen it.
I think it's an animated talk show host.
The jokes on the adverts are lame.
The text jokes on the black and white screen adverts are lame.
Sounds like Rove, in comic form.
(or at least as lame as)

He played full back for North Melbourne in the 1970's

Reminds me of Max Headroom.

All true, but his line about Coldplay ("like U2 without spirit") made me chuckle.
gabbo - Gabbo - GABBO!

seriously the Ten execs must know that this show is a piece of shit and they are pushing it down our throats to make us like it.
if I see that billboard on the back of a truck again in town then im going to knock the driver into next month, carjack the thing and chuck it of the wharf down at the Port.
nah it needs to be doused in petrol and burnt but thats too expensive these days

Just don't know how this is going to work.
An animated host interviewing real people?
Will lack the spark and spontaneity of the real thing.
Could be very flat with lots of dead air...

I am glad I am not a shareholder of Ten. First Big Bro, uplate gameshow, wedding show now this. Its a wonder why I spend so much time driving down to blockbuster to hire a few movies.

I was sure the show would be a piece of shit, but having watched it, damn it was ******* funny!

Yeah, not too bad. Very clever little nuances with the character itself. The merciless bagging of Li'l Ley Ley won me over ("They were all babies once. Adolf Hitler. Charles Manson. Lleyton Hewitt."). Hmm, might make that my new signature...

To quote the great Johnny Mac...
You cannot be serious?
Steaming pile of ka-ka.

"Not too bad" does not equate to "unqualified genius". It was OK, a few bits made me laugh. The concept itself is interesting - I was shocked to see Andrew Denton as executive producer (it's his production company too).
But once the novelty is over I don't think it will have much staying power. Mind you, I thought that about the Wedge and that crud is still on...

Of course he's gonna laugh at his own jokes, you would too if you had jokes like his.

I retract anything positive I said about it. Last night was rotten and I won't be back for more.
Is it true the voice is Billy Birmingham?
