You've seriously never heard about that case?

Don't reckon I'll watch it. I suspect that even my usually stoic demeanour would be upset by it.

I had heard about the case but just wanted a refresher before I watched it.

Scum.... pure scum.

If they did that to my children they would not be alive now

As horrible as poor little Jamie Bulger's case was if they ever do one about the 'Baby P' case then you definitely won't want to watch that. I still tear up when it gets brought up in the news...what those ******** did and the way it was ignored truly does beggar belief...

thats incorrect wood, it was a fabricated story.
the 2 offenders were released, given new identeties and ordered to stay within the UK so they could be monitored by UK authorities.
another report 12 months or so ago was that one of them had been caught with kiddy porn, not sure how correct that is.
yet another report was the other was married with a child.

i was appaled as anyone when this happened, however how many of us can say weve never made a mistake in our youth, oktheirs was a cock up of monumental proportions and it did take a child away from his parents however they were young and i believe in rehabilitation. if they show they are remorseful and realise what they did was a heinous why not release them after their sentence is served.
rant end.......now

I had to stop reading that one Jac, that's abominable .. It's not my place to say I guess, but whether it's via legal means or otherwise, those perpetrators I believe, should have their license to exist revoked.

Yeh it's hard to believe something that awful could happen in this day and age. The head of that council's children's services was held accountable but...

...and in her own words 'I don't do blame'

Sadly lessons weren't learnt either...16 months later we had the death of baby Ryan...

That is exactly what happens after any decision to 'name and shame' as we discovered in 2000 after another murder. Can't begin to imagine how horrific it must have been for those who were innocent...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_of_the_World

Anti-paedophile campaign (2000)

The paper began a controversial campaign to name and shame alleged paedophiles in 2000 following the abduction and murder of Sarah Payne. The paper's decision led to angry mobs terrorising those they suspected of being child sex offenders,[8] which included several cases of mistaken identity, including one instance where a paediatrician had her house vandalised[9] and another where a man was confronted because he had a neck brace similar to one a paedophile was wearing when pictured.[10][11] The campaign was labelled "grossly irresponsible" journalism by the then Chief Constable of Gloucestershire, Tony Butler.[12] The paper also campaigns for the introduction of 'Sarah's Law' to allow public access to the Sex Offenders Register.

Because it was apparently so horrendous, you couldn't publish it.
