Novelty songs

Normally a Music Forum thread, but the nature of it is more pure entertainment. Was scanning YouTube this morning and came across some great songs that were released purely as novelty songs, but ended up becoming big hits. Not generally known, but this first one actually outcharted the original - going to number one (while Michael Jackson's original was number three)

Plus this one, also from Weird Al:

Post away with some of your favorites :) (I'm not sure if the "in site viewing" function is working properly with this - if a moderator is able to fix it, please feel free to do so)

Star trecking across the universe (im not sure if that was the actual song title) is what I thought of when I saw the thread title. Also the "Barbie" song from a few years ago, and also that stupid frog ring tone (if that actually qualifies as a song!).

I always loved this one by David Bowie...doubt he sees it as his finest work though.
Sadly can't find the original video that went with it on Top of the Pops all those years ago but someone has done a copy of it using WoW...
