Who is your favourite horror movie character?

As a lover of the horror flick, i got into a discussion of the best horror character.
For mine its Mike Myers from the Halloween series. Imposing and malicious, he is one that genuinely gives me fear watching a horror flick. Also love ghost face from the scream series. Average films but love the face mask!
What are others favs? what is it that makes them scary?

Probably Leatherface. I love my horror movies and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre's are probably may favourite series ahead of the Saw movies. If you wanted to include thriller's than all up my favourite would be Hannibal Lecter.

I recently watched the new nightmare on elm street and found the back story of Freddy Krueger's character interesting. Wes Craven's original idea was adopted in that he was a groundskeeper, accused of interfering with minors at a childcare center to be lynched by parents who were convinced he was evil and harming their children. The story puts a seed of doubt that he may have been wrongly accused of molestation.
The idea of attacking people in their dreams is the greatest horror idea ever! Too scared to fall alseep! But everyone has to fall asleep sometime!
I also like Pennywise, the dancing clown from It.

Booney's right, they're more spooky! When I was younger, Chucky from Child's Play spooked me. Not sure why it spooked me more than Jason Vorhees or Freddie Kruger.
